Butterfield Trail Shooting Range is a public facility managed by the Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department. Hours and days of operation are seven days a week, sunrise to sunset EXCEPT Thursday until 3pm for maintenance.
The range is unmanned, therefore shooters are required to bring their own targets AND clean up after themselves! No glass, no appliances (TV's, computers, etc.). Clean up should include removing shotgun hulls.
The range may be reserved for special functions and matches by contacting Parks and Recreation 575 541-2550.
SHOTGUN FACILITY: The Mesilla Valley Shotgun Shooters operate the
Trap and Skeet ranges. Current hours of operation (spring/summer 2012) are
Wednesday mornings and Saturday and Sunday mornings. Contact John Moen at
Trophy Country 575 526-3571.
